Service Alert
The library owns a printer/copier machine that can be used to make color and/ or black and white copies on ledger, legal and letter size paper. The cost for copies and print jobs is $.25 per copy.
Wireless Internet service is provided free of charge at all Rockingham County Public Library locations.
The library provides scanning services free of charge. Documents are scanned onto a flash drive. Please bring your own flash drive. If you do not have one, the Reidsville Library offers them for sale for $8.00.
Faxing Services are available for a fee. If you would like to have documents faxed to the Reidsville Library have the documents faxed to 336-342-4824. You will be charged $.25 for each page the library receives. Please ask the sender to include your name on the fax.
Faxes can also be sent to other locations. There is a $.25 charge for each page sent to a toll free number or to fax number for a Rockingham County location. There is a $1 charge for each page sent to a fax number for a location outside of Rockingham County.
Books and Audiobooks check out for 3 weeks. (They can be renewed twice if the library has owned the material for at least 3 months and the item is not on hold for another patron.)
Movies, Magazines, Videogames, and Playaway Views check out for one week. (Magazines can be renewed twice and movies can be renewed once as long as they have not been placed on hold by another patron.)
Our library is part of a consortium of libraries called the NC Cardinal Consortium. If Rockingham County Public Library does not have the material you desire you can place a hold on materials from outside of Rockingham County.
Holds placed on items from outside of Rockingham County will take longer to arrive but will be shipped to our library free of charge.
Computers with Internet access and Microsoft Office 2013 (on most) are available for checkout with the use of a library card. Library patrons who do not have their library card with them can ask to have their records retrieved by name if they show a picture id.
Guests without a library card can be issued a 30 day temporary pass to use library computers if they show a picture id and sign the library's Computer Use Agreement.
The Reidsville Library has two meeting rooms available for public use. Meeting rooms cannot be used to make a profit, or for a political or religious purpose. To book a meeting room, call the Reidsville Library at 336-349-8476. We will ask you to complete paperwork regarding the use of the room which we keep on file for one year. We can only release the room to the person who is on file as responsible for the room.
Wrenn Room
The Wrenn Room provides the most space. The room can comfortably sit up to 60 people. Chairs and tables are available for use but must be set out and put up by the person or group using the room. A projection screen is mounted on the wall in the Room and the library owns a projector that can be borrowed for presentations.
Small Conference Room
The Small Conference Room contains a table that can comfortably sit eight people.
Do you need to have an exam proctored? The Reidsville Library provides this service at no charge. Contact the Reidsville Library at 336-349-8476 or email Rachel Fetzer at rfetzer@co.rockingham.nc.us and let her know the day and time you'd like to schedule your appointment. Due to limited staff, we ask that you try to schedule your appointment no more than a month in advance while still giving us at least a week's notice. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.
